      <title>“University Graduates and Labor Market.  Accounts on the first results of the survey” Workshop</title>

      <description>&lt;p align="justify"&gt;The workshop was 2 days long and was held in November 2011, at the National Institute of Statistics in Bucharest, bringing together approximately 100 representatives from the higher education institutions involved in the project, as well as representatives from the central institutions in the area of education - The Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Sports, The Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, The National Authority for Qualifications. A number of 58 universities answered the invitation, including those that will send out the questionnaire during the extension year and haven&amp;rsquo;t participated in the project in the first phase of implementation. INCHER Kassel, the external partner of the project, also participated in the workshop, with Professor Ulrich Teichler - senior researcher at the centre, with an experience of more then 30 years in the field - as invited speaker.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The first part of the workshop was dedicated to the presentation of the field phase for the 2005 and 2009 cohorts and to the debate of the first descriptive results for the given cohorts, at national and European level.       <title>53 public and private universities attended the workshop "Conducting the Field Phase"</title>

      <description>&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The workshop &amp;ldquo;Conducting the Field Phase&amp;rdquo; was held between 4th - 5th of November,&amp;nbsp; in Sinaia. The workshop has been coordinated by the UEFISCSU team and the German partner participating in the project, The International Centre for Higher Education Research (INCHER - Kassel), and brought together more than 120 representatives from over 50 public and private universities involved in the study.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The topics of the workshop included the significance of a unitary methodology at the universities&amp;rsquo; level for the study to be relevant, the effective implementation of the questionnaire and the means by which the classes of 2005 and 2009 will be invited to participate in the survey. The decision has been taken that all the universities should send the invitations by mail on 23rd of November.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>“University Graduates and Labor Market. Developing the Tracer Study questionnaire at national level” workshop</title>

      <description>&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&amp;ldquo;University Graduates and Labor Market. Developing the questionnaire at national level&amp;rdquo; workshop&amp;nbsp;was held in Sinaia, on 3rd and 4th June, with the following objectives: establishing the general framework for the implementation of the study, completing the questionnaire for monitoring the insertion of higher education graduates on the labor market and preparing the general framework for applying the questionnaire. The workshop included the participation of the foreign partner, the Kassel University, Germany &amp;ndash; the International Centre for Higher Education Research (INCHER), represented by the international researchers Harald Schomburg and Lutz Heidemann.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Representatives from 43 universities all over the country, which expressed their interest to participate in this project, have taken part in the event.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The main purpose of the University Graduates and Labor Market project is to implement, at the national level, a study to trace the insertion of higher education graduates from both public and private institutions on the labor market. The elaboration and development of monitoring instruments of the socio-professional career of higher education graduates aims at facilitating the correlation between the educational offer and the labor market. &lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>Work meeting with the representative of the International Centre For Higher Education Research in Kassel, Germany</title>

      <description>&lt;div style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; TEXT-INDENT: 35.4pt"&gt;&lt;span style="LINE-HEIGHT: 115%; FONT-SIZE: 10pt"&gt;In March, 2010, we organized a workshop within the &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="LINE-HEIGHT: 115%; FONT-SIZE: 10pt"&gt;National study of monitoring the labor market insertion of&amp;nbsp;higher education graduates project which was attended by the research expert Harald Schomburg, representing the foreign partner in the project,&amp;nbsp;University of Kassel, Germany - &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span style="LINE-HEIGHT: 115%; TEXT-TRANSFORM: uppercase; LETTER-SPACING: 0.65pt; FONT-SIZE: 10pt"&gt;The International Centre for Higher Education Research.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span style="LINE-HEIGHT: 115%; FONT-SIZE: 10pt"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Within the meeting were discussed both general aspects, such as the methodology underlyning the study, as well as specific issues, related to the activities currently carried out: collaboration with over 50 higher education institution that have signed the agreement to implement the study at the institutional level, developing the questionnaire for graduates and customizing it for specific occupational fields and areas of interest. The german partner presented the participants a range of materials and methodologies succesfully applied in similar projects, in country such as France, Germany, Austria, these documents&amp;nbsp;representing useful examples for the implementation of the study in Romania. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description>
